Cornerstone has a multi-talented Pastor in John Darnall. Whether delivering a powerful message, singing and playing music with the Worship Team or being the trusted Shepherd God called Him to be, Pastor John has a deep-rooted faith that shines through in everything He does. He is totally “on fire” for the Lord, with an unwavering obedience that follows him wherever he goes. Whether it’s praying for the needs of others, visiting the sick or just lending a tender word of encouragement, the Father’s love flows through Pastor John in such a way that leaves no doubt God’s purpose is being fulfilled in his life.
Pastor John’s sermons are traditional with a twist; they are REAL, fresh from the Father’s heart and always right on time. When Pastor John steps up to share the Word, it’s electric!! He is not only anointed, he is fully expectant and never takes the stage alone. The undeniable power of God is all over him!! It shines through in the words he speaks, the tone of his voice and it glows through his presence. Armed with the full covering of God, Pastor John becomes so “filled” that he can’t stand still. God’s Holy Spirit shows up, the energy level of the church rises and we just know in our hearts that it’s going to be “better than good.”
Next to his love of God, Pastor John’s family is the most important thing in his life. He and his wife, Sarah, have a true heart for Jesus and we at Cornerstone are blessed beyond measure that God chose him to lead our flock. Pastor John and Sarah have been blessed with two sons; Lincoln and Collen.
Chris Thomas serves as the Associate Pastor at Cornerstone Community Church, where he is passionate about supporting the vision and day-to-day ministry of the church. Having previously served as the Youth Pastor, Chris brings years of ministry experience and a deep understanding of the Cornerstone family. His heart for people and commitment to discipleship continue to shape the way he serves both the congregation and the leadership team.
Chris works closely with Pastor John, assisting with planning, organization, and the many behind-the-scenes details that help Cornerstone run smoothly. He has a gift for planning events, coordinating ministries, and ensuring that each gathering is welcoming, meaningful, and well organized. Whether it’s a special church event, a ministry initiative, or weekly operations, Chris is dedicated to excellence and teamwork in all he does.
Outside of ministry, Chris treasures time with his wife, Rachel, and their four daughters. As a family, they love being actively involved at Cornerstone and building relationships within the church community. Chris’s love for the church, combined with his servant’s heart and attention to detail, make him a valued part of the Cornerstone leadership team.
